Update v.3.0.1 OUT NOW!
Friday, 26 February 2010

Well it's taken a long, long time, but the LGS v.3 and all of its runty children are out and should be in your inbox for your perusal.  If you didn't get your book, be sure to send me an email.  I will correct that as soon as possible, which in most cases is pretty immediate.

The list of changes while not deep are pretty broad.   Items are finally making their triumphant appearance in the LGS, and many systems which have been around forever have been cleaned up and made more usable.  Speaking about more usable, how about character creation guidelines?  It's actually starting to look like an actual, playable game now, doesn't it?

In other news, it's been pretty hectic around here, largely because of that.  I should mention that we will be making our first appearance in Houston here in just a few weeks.  March 19th, mark your calendars for Kamikazecon.  We should be there the whole weekend, so you guys who have been stuck down there without anyone to play with need to make sure to swing by and pay us a visit, and bring your friends.  The more friends we have in Houston, the more likely it is we'll be making more trips down there, and I know there are several conventions that way.

As far as other conventions go, we are looking at several in the area, and may be making extra-state trips this year into Oklahoma, and off our beaten path into San Antonio.  These are still in the works, so be expecting more information on them as the year goes on.  Let's just say that May through July is going to be really, really busy.

In more local news, MidCon X... something or other went off without a hitch, save one.  Joe's, our regular pizza place, has undergone a change of management.  The exact repurcussions of this are still being talked about, but the biggest and most immediate change was the pizza itself.   I have put up a poll, primarily for those who attended this last one, to get a feel for what you guys want.  If no one wants to buy because no one likes the pizzas, we'll do our best to find a new deal somewhere else if we have to.

Oh!  With the update out of the way (finally) work will resume on the new site, which had fallen behind.  As such, I am still accepting stories and art to fill the Fan Works section of the new website once it goes live.  Send any submissions you've got to admin @ ptme-productions dot com and I'll make sure your works get put up.

I think that's about it for right now.  If anything comes to mind (other than the literally dozens of little changes that I've already thought of for the LGS 3.0.2), I'll be sure to let you guys know.

Casses out.

Want your art on the new website?
Tuesday, 19 January 2010

Heya guys.  As you might know, this place is going to be getting a pretty substantial overhaul here in the near-term, and I discovered one of my pages is terribly empty: fan art and fiction.  I know that there are a lot of you out there who do, have, or can produce some brilliant examples of fan art.  There's a great example in the Miracle Girl in the forums right now

So, in order to make the new site a more brilliant place to be, I want your arts!  Whether you're a visual artist or storyteller with a favorite character, I want your works on the new site!

Send your submissions to csledge at ptme-productions.com by January 28th and we'll get it up!  Nothing pornographic or offensive, guys, but other than that you're in the clear.

Hope to see your art and stories on the site come the end of the month!

Pre-post con wrapup, Ikkicon 4 edition
Saturday, 02 January 2010

Somewhere between midnight and two last night I realized it was no longer the fabled first day of January.  Ordinarily this wouldn't be of note except as a marker for the end of people's hangovers, but I seem to have promised a new update to the website due sometime in the vicinity of yesterday.  As you're sitting here reading this, you may be able to tell that did not happen.  SO, instead of having a nice and shiny new website update yesterday, that's been delayed a couple of days to around January 10th. It's not the best New Year's resolution, but at least we won't have to wait two months to see if I break it or not.

In recent and other news, hello from Ikkicon!  For those of you just joining the website and visiting for the first time, welcome!  Don't get too comfortable because we're moving all of the buttons, for now stick around and enjoy.

All told it's been a pretty successful convention so far.  From the time the game room opens to the time our overnight crew crawls back into the room somewhere around 5 or 6 the room has never been less than half full.  For all the praice I could place upon Ikkicon, perhaps the best is that if there is one thing that's very obvious it is that this convention loves it's gaming, and we love it too.  If the city loves gaming this much we might have to find another convention here to attend.  If you've got an idea, I'd love to hear it in the forums.

I think that pretty well covers it for now.  Stay tuned for the full wrapup ... sometime.

Oh, wait!  Speaking of updates, since I'm sure it will be asked within the next 12 hours or so: Ikkicon does not have an update to The Dreaming, Legacy Crossing, or the Lucid Gaming System.  That said, there will be an update coming in late January,  with an expected due date of the 23rd.  Then you'll be introduced to the new Magus and other Legacy Crossing Origins.  I'll be sure to let you know  more as we get closer.

There, now I think we're done here.  So for now,

Casses out.
